"20 Grand Years in the Neighborhood" Anniversary Event & Annual Auction
Join Latrobe Art Center in celebrating "20 Grand Years in the Neighborhood" and kicking off their annual auction fundraiser! On Saturday, October 1 from 6-9pm, enjoy an evening full of nostalgia, great food, a cash bar, and auction activities including a virtual silent auction, an art raffle, prize balloons, and cash auction games. Following the event, the virtual silent auction will run online through October 31, 2022.
An Evening of Fresh Herbs & White Wine with Eileen Yeager
Join local artist Eileen Yeager, and learn about her herbal art and how these featured herbs are complemented by a selection of white wines. Participants will enjoy sampling appetizers with three types of white wine throughout the evening and discover which herbs pair best with each wine.

Art 101 for High School Students
These six art classes will introduce students to the use of three basic mediums—drawing pencils, color pencils, and pastels—to develop technique-based drawing and art skills that will promote confidence and creativity with personal self-expression through the art process. This class is designed for students 15 years of age through adulthood who have a unique desire to learn basic art skills and techniques in the creation of “artistic expression.”

These six art classes are designed to introduce students grades 6-9 to two and three dimensional art projects that focus on basic drawing skills and satisfying the creative and energetic mind of the more serious art student. Esher, Victor Vasarely, and Bridget Riley being presented. Students will also have the ability to experiment with a variety of media. Every Thursday from 1 - 3 p.m. classroom/gallery space at Latrobe Art Center is made accessible to any artist of any skill level to come out and create with their colleagues. It’s a great way to meet other local artists, get constructive feedback regarding projects, and experiment in an atmosphere of conversation, encouragement, and freedom of expression.
