This fall, Latrobe Art Center, Latrobe-GLSD Parks & Recreation, and visual artist Jennifer Kemnitz are working together to bring art classes to kids in grades 1 - 6!

The artist Wayne Thiebaud is famous for his paintings of yummy pastries and desserts on display in a bakery window. We will draw our own big, wonderfully decorated cupcake using chalk pastels on black paper for a vibrant glow. We will also learn how to shadow the cupcake so it looks like we can actually grab it!
