Irene and Regis Patrick
- Green Eyed Gecko Website - Irene and Regis Patrick
have been working with gourds for about seven years after seeing them in
fine art galleries on trips to the South and Southwest. They had acquired
various skills over the years of studying and teaching art. They decided
that the gourd was the perfect canvas for those skills. They use a variety
of gourds, letting each individual gourd present its own challenge, designing
to the gourd and letting it dictate the end result. They place cleaned gourds
all around the house to live with them for a period of time. Eventually,
Rene says, "They
talk to us."
Peg Panasiti - Peg's
Palette Website - Peg's goal is
to take everyday objects and change the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Painting with watercolor has been her passion for the past twenty years. "For
subject matter I prefer still lifes, because they are readily available.
My colors are always the primaries - red, yellow and blue in different hues.
Catching the essence of the different shapes of the still life is all that
is necessary. I try to keep the painting fresh and allow the first vibrant
washes to shine through."
Sharon Yoder Website - For the past 13 years Sharon
has been working on pursuing her dream. Sharon’s goal is to capture the beauty in
the world around her. Common items and places can be beautiful in
the right light and seen through an artist’s eye.
