Welcome to the Latrobe Art Center. The Latrobe Art Center was the inspiration of artists, Elizabeth Hazlett and Nancy Rogers Crozier. Their vision has received enthusiastic encouragement from local artists, cultural groups, and the community. The Art Center is a place of renewed vitality and opportunity for growth to all who participate. Art classes for children and adults, art exhibitions, and special interest programs are provided. Financial support is provided by grants and contributions.

The mission of the center is to encourage and foster creativity in all who have the desire to develop their artistic interests in this welcoming atmosphere.

This bustling 501 3 (C) non-profit organization, located in the heart of downtown Latrobe, reaches out to the community and encourages all to share in the creative process. Latrobe ARt Center is a membership gallery which provides the opporutnity for artists to display and market their work by exhibiting six times a year. Non-members may exhibit and sell their work for a two month period in our Featured Artist Section.

Visitors to the center will find a variety of artwork in all media, including oil, acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink drawings all professionally displayed and ready for purchase. Beautiful stained glass, jewelry, fine art gourds, bronze sculptures, woodwork, and fiber art are also available.

CLASSES & WORKSHOPS

Discover the artist in you by enrolling in a class ro workshop. Professional artists offer instruction for beginners, intermediate, and advanced students. Students may explore watercolor, pastels, oils, drawing, painting, and jewelry making.

REACHING OUT TO THE COMMUNITY

Our free community outreach programs make it possible for students and adults to recognize and experiment with different media. Art Among Us, and our Buddy Program are two very successful programs.

USE OF THE FACILITY

Our facility is available for club meetings, luncheons, and lectures in an artistic and creative atmosphere. The Center is a venue for special events such as birthday parties, showers and anniversaries. Options are unlimited for the use of gallery space for a nominal donation.

LATROBE ART CENTER IS LOCATED ON THE CORNER OF MAIN STREET & LIGONIER STREET. Parking is available and our Center is handicap assesible.
